The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed about the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The assistance issue created for intervention experiences a higher influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it challenging to the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a click here service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to allow the servicing of all clients and improve access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
